KV Kribhco

Established in 1985, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kribhco is the gem of the diamond city Surat so far imparting ‘quality’ education is concerned. Presently, the Vidyalaya caters the educational needs of around 500 students.

The Vidyalaya has thrived in the past 30 years and has been in forefront of imparting quality education since its inception.

The present pinnacle of glory of the Vidyalaya is the result of the painstaking, tireless and commendable efforts made by our highly proficient and committed team of teaching and non-teaching staff.

As the Academic result is the most imperative aspect for evaluating the performance of any institution, it has always been our prime concern. It is a matter of pride for us that our result for the last year for class 10th  and 12th was 100%.

Master Bimal Nair topped in Class-XII with 93.20% and  Andrea Jose topped in Class-X with 98.60%..

Educationalists say that the most important time for shaping children’s mind is early childhood. That is why we take special care of our little kids in their grooming. KVS has started Common Minimum Programme in which activity based teaching is followed to achieve instructional objectives. CMP is organized every quarter to share ideas for implementing innovative methodology for primary classes. We organize various programmes like Grandparents Day and Community Lunch to instill good habits and values among the students.

The Vidyalaya is rich so far the infrastructure and other teaching-learning technology is concerned. We have two TAL rooms one for Primary and one for secondary classes. We have activity room for primary classes to carry out activity-based learning. A high-tech computer room along with well-equipped laboratories of Physics, Chemistry and Biology makes learning meaningful. Our Vidyalaya has also facilities of Smart Board Classroom to facilitate our children in learning with the most advanced 21st century techniques. It make learning a fun and joyful activity

Rich Library to enrich knowledge

It is truly said that the books are our never failing friends. Understanding the importance of reading the Vidyalaya gives due emphasis to enrich its library that further enriches the knowledge of its users.

Presently, there are about 7000 books in our Library. 500 new books were purchased this year. The books are issued through barcode system. To inculcate reading habit among the students, we keep ‘book review’ of new arrivals on every Monday during the morning assembly. The Vidyalaya has also formed ‘Readers’ Club’. Activities like ‘Spell Bee competition’ and ‘Quiz’ are organized under it. National Book Week was celebrated this year in the month of November. We also purchase 30 Monthly Magazines that helps the students to prepare for the competitive examinations. We make the students to prepare Class magazine to exhibit their hidden talents and this way we nurture their latent potential.

Co-Curricular Activities

Co curricular activities are equally important as academics. They help in developing the students’ personality. Our students participate in such activities organized in the school that enable their skill in the field of public speaking, Dance, Music and Art. This year many individuals and group competitions were held under CCA.08 Individual and Group competitions were held for secondary classes and total 120 prizes were given for that. In primary classes 10 activities were held and total 274 prizes were given for the first and second position. Apart from these activities, many other competitions were held during the celebration of Hindi Pakhwara, Vigilance Awareness Week’, Communal harmony Week, Sardar Patel Birth Anniversary and Environment Day.

Games & sports.

It is truly said that ‘All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.’ Hence, we give due importance to Games and Sports also.

KVS aims at all-round development of students’ personality. Keeping the dictum ‘sound body- sound mind’ in our mind, we organize Cluster level, Regional level and National level Sports Competition of different games and provides a perfect platform to exhibit their skills I feel proud to say that 11 students of our Vidyalaya participated in KVS National Sports Meet this year in different events.

Scouts & Guides

KVS has Scouts and Guides setup to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as individuals and as responsible citizens of the country. We have 44 cubs, 31 bulbuls, 84 scouts and 70 guides registered for the year 2015.13 Scouts and 02 guides attended Tritiy Sopan Camp this year. 10 Scouts and Guides participated in Rajya Puraskar Camp

I must not forget to say here that all what we do and achieve here in the Vidyalaya for the students would not be possible without support of KRIBHCO family. I take this opportunity to acknowledge my sincere gratitude to the Vidyalaya Management Committee especially Sh. M. R. Sharma the Chairman of this Vidyalaya for his caring and able guidance for the effective functioning of this Vidyalaya. Unparallel Cooperation and support extended to the Vidyalaya by all the members of VMC has helped the Vidyalaya to progress in the right direction.

Once again, I welcome to our Chief Guest Sh. M. R. Sharma and the Guest of honour Mrs. Sharma who spared their valuable time to grace this occasion by their esteemed presence. I also thank to the Nominee Chairman Sh.Sunil Kumar Jain and other dignitaries for attending this function to boost up morale of our students.
